The pilgrimage path to Notre-Dame de Beauvoir

The climb to Notre-Dame de Beauvoir above Moustiers-Sainte-Marie is a traditional pilgrimage route marked out by fourteen oratories, twelve of which are identical. They date from 1860 and form a Mount Calvary, that is to say fourteen stations retracing the Christ's Stations of the Cross, in front of which the faithful meditate on their way up. Some of them were later adorned with earthenware tiles made by Simone Garnier.
