This blue silk dress by an anonymous designer dates from the beginning of the 20th century. Originally included in the collections of the Granville Museum of Art and History, it is now on display among the past works of the Villa du Temps Retrouvé in Cabourg. It rubs shoulders with two other pieces of clothing : a man's cotton jersey swimsuit from the same period and same origin as well as a 1900 opera mantle worn by the Marquise d'Aligre and made by Doucet, a Parisian haute couture house. Numerous paintings and portraits, photographs, vases, and sculptures as well as various original editions of Marcel Proust's works constitute the other past works of the exhibition.
