Essential oil is one of the flagship products of the Terres de Bonaventure farm on the Valensole plateau, rich in vast fields of lavenders and everlasting flowers. To distill these plants and obtain essential oil, the Chabot family participates in an initiative subsidized by the departmental council of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence called the PAPAMobile (PAPAM for Aromatic and Medicinal Perfumed Plants). It consists of a community traveling still that circulates across the department and allows the farmers to distill on site or near their homes.
