The painted spiny lobster
2
0
The painted spiny lobster Panulirus Versicolor is a tropical lobster recognizable by its dark blue walking and swimming legs with white longitudinal stripes and the white lines separating each segment of its abdomen. Its first antennas have a sensory role while the second ones, the largest, are used for its defense and protection. Its chitin carapace is not extensible. When it becomes too narrow, the lobster moults.
