The origin of the prancing horse

0
The prancing horse of Ferrari's logo is iconic. The origin of the Cavallino Rampante dates back to the time when Enzo Ferrari was still a professional driver. During the Savio Grand Prix in 1923, he met the mother of Francesco Baracca, an Italian fighter jet ace shot down in 1918. She asked him to decorate his racing car with the prancing horse that adorned her son's cabin. Thirteen prestigious Ferrari models are on display at the Cité de l'Automobile in Mulhouse.
