Navigating the canals of Burgundy allows you to discover the region in complete freedom and at your own pace, while keeping in mind the map of the locks to cross and their opening hours. Indeed, the locks are not open day and night but during the working hours - roughly from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a lunch break of approximately one hour - of the lock keepers who manage them, whether they are manual or electric. They may also be closed on certain public holidays, such as May 1 or July 14.
