The oldest olfactory family in perfumery
Hesperids represent the oldest of the seven olfactory families of perfumery. It includes citrus fruits such as orange, lemon, grapefruit, bergamot, tangerine, lime, petitgrain, and kumquat whose zests provide fresh and tonic essential oils widely used by master perfumers. Light and volatile, the citrus notes are often associated with floral, spicy, woody, or musky notes for better adherence.
