Located 6km (3.7 miles) north of Bora Bora, the coral island of Tupai represents a heart. The atoll of 11 km square (6.8 square miles) has a double lagoon and 5 white sand motus. It is a privileged nesting site for green turtles Chelonia mydas. Unfortunately, the eggs are devoured by the unregulated population of wild pigs introduced by man and responsible for Tupai's less romantic nickname: pig island!
