0
Mainly known for its candied chestnuts and its corks, Collobrières also stands as the locality with the highest number of identified megalithic sites in the Var department. Surrounded by the Babaou pass to the south, the Chartreuse de la Verne to the east, and Notre-Dame-des-Anges to the north, the village extends near the Lambert plateau. There stand the highest (10.3 and 9.2 ft / 3.15 and 2.82 m) and the most remarkable menhirs of the department. Var is home to no less than 65 dolmens and 24 menhirs, 16 of which are protected as Historical Monuments.
