The Monts d'Azur Reserve is located on the territory of the municipality of Andon in the Alpes-Maritimes. This commune is itself part of the Préalpes d'Azur regional natural park since its creation in March 2012. This park extends over 552sqmi (889.4km2) between 984 and 5,905ft (300 and 1,800m) above sea level and corresponds to the Prealps of Grasse, between the valleys of Siagne, Loup, Cagne, Estéron and Var.
