The monogram of the National Studs visible here on blinkers consists of a symbolic gold-colored capital H that has adorned the harnesses since 1874. Before their abolition by the French Revolution, the National Studs had the fleur-de-lys on a royal blue background as their symbol. The H is surrounded by a circle in the shape of a belt buckle and capped by acanthus leaves, illustrating victory and the end of earthly trials.
