At night this male kept us from sleeping as he kept roaring. As soon as the sun rose we got out into the direct where this majestic male was calling from. We found him and his brother and followed them at a respectable distance while they were spraying their territory casually. They paused several times, looking into the distance. Following their gaze we discovered two lionesses and a cub. And then, as if lightning had struck, both lions started running. They kept running for a mile... we followed them... more photos to come of what turned out to be a once-in-a-lifetime witnessing of a kill... the pride of the Karoo... be aware of these guys! Ps.
