The Metallurgic Park is located in the Blaise valley, in Dommartin-le-Franc in Haute-Marne, on a very well preserved industrial site. This production unit, converted into an interpretation centre, offers visitors the opportunity to discover the secrets of ancient and contemporary metallurgy as well as the operation of a 19th century foundry. In the casting hall, a blast furnace, in operation from 1835 to 1885, has been completely restored by the association for the preservation and promotion of the metallurgical heritage of Haute-Marne (ASPM). Each stage in the manufacture of cast iron is explained thanks to an ingenious scenography.
