The memory of engulfed villages

To tell the story of the villages engulfed by the construction of the Serre-Ponçon dam and collect the testimonies of the expropriated people, Gérard Ubrun - the president of Groupe Alpagel - decided in 1994 to create the Muséoscope du Lac. Thanks to the assistance of the architect Jean-Luc Russier and the journalist Marcel Barès, the museum bearing witness to the impact of the lake on the territory opened its doors in 1998.
