The making of crystal in pictures
0
0
The Lalique Museum in Wingen-sur-Moder has a room entirely devoted to a photo essay. Each stage of crystal production is visualised. First the hot work – with the mouth-blowing of single pieces and the moulding of series –, then the cold work – with the cutting and sometimes the engraving. These images provide a better understanding of the manufacturing processes of the pieces exhibited in the museum. This room is intended as a dive into the world of decorative glass to which René Lalique has given a worldwide reputation.
