The main shopping street in downtown Dijon
0
0
Named after the motto of the French Republic following the Revolution, Rue de la Liberté - formerly Rue Condé - is the main shopping street in the city center of Dijon. It connects Place Darcy to Place de la Libération via Place François Rude. Pedestrianized in 2012, it has become an essential place to stroll for Dijon residents and a strategic crossroads for visitors. Lined with buildings mostly built between the 15th and 18th centuries and listed as Historical Monuments, Rue de la Liberté hosts in its upper part the most important classified urban architectural ensemble of Dijon.
