Leaving the terroir de Nuit Saint Georges, the Castle of the Clos de Vougeot reveals its magnificent silhouette. After the French Revolution, the site was confiscated and declared a national asset on February 13th, 1790. During that period, the estate was divided between different owners. Then, it has been bought in 1889 by a wine dealer from Nuits-Saint-Georges, called Léonce Bocquet. He restored it.
