The exhibition Le passeur de lumière (The light carrier) in the Centre Pompidou-Metz is dedicated to Marc Chagall. It consists essentially of sketches of stained-glass windows made by the artist for churches and monuments. Exceptionally, the stained-glass windows of the Saillant Chapel in the Corrèze department are exposed. They are on display for the duration of the church's renovation. The faces of Isabelle and Guy de Lasteyrie du Saillant, who ordered the work to Chagall, appear hidden there. The stained-glass window is a quatrefoil that relates the Creation of the world in sustained tones of blue, green, and red under the luminous rays of the Divine Sun.
