Since the 1920s, lavender spikes have been thrown into the stream of the La Foux spring, which supplies the indoor and outdoor fountains of the Fontaines Parfumées estate in Grasse. The distributed water therefore emerges with a scent of lavender which feeds the legend of naturally scented fountains, the water of which is sold to visitors.
