The Doigt de Dieu is the second summit of the Meije range in the Écrins massif. Located at the eastern end of the famous Meije ridges, in the crossing of which it constitutes the last point, it culminates at 13,034 ft (3,973 m) above sea level. The Grand Pic, at the other end of the ridges, dominates it by only 32.2 ft (10 m). The Doigt de Dieu, also known as the Pic Central de La Meije, seems suspended above the Étançons valley it directly overlooks by 2,624 ft (800 m).
