The last Gothic spire in Arles
0
0
Located near the Arenas of Arles at the top of Rue de la Calade, the Couvent des Cordeliers encompassed part of the Roman theater and extended to the amphitheater. Of the building of the 15th century, remains today mainly the bell tower that constitutes its most remarkable vestige. It forms a Gothic spire typical of the bell towers built in the pontifical Avignon of the 14th century. It is also the only spire still standing in Arles.
