The largest single nave in France

Saint-Maurice Cathedral in Mirepoix is a monument of medieval origin. Its 157.5 ft long by 72 ft wide (48 by 22 m) nave is the largest single nave in France and the second in Europe after Girona's in Spain. The bell tower of the cathedral, for its part, rises to 197 ft (60 m). While vandalism and demolitions have caused the disappearance of numerous objects, visitors can still admire a tabernacle, a 14th-century Christ on the Cross, and one of the seven paintings by Larivière-Vesontius.
