0
Located in the Caribbean Sea over 621mi (1,000km) from the north end of the Yucatán peninsula to the Islas de la Bahia, the Meso-American barrier reef borders the coasts of Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras and forms the largest barrier reef in the western hemisphere. It is home to more than 65 species of coral threatened by global warming like everywhere else in the world.
