After the Valleuse de Jambourg, La Manneporte or High Door is the last pierced cliff in Étretat. It is the highest of the three cliffs, with a maximum elevation of 278 ft (85 m). Its arch is 164 ft (50 m) high and 131 ft (40 m) wide. Visitors can cross the 62-ft (19-m) thick arch thanks to a small karstic tunnel 6.56 ft (2 m) wide. La Manneporte cliff was a privileged subject for Claude Monet, who painted more than 80 versions of the cliffs of Étretat.
