The Jura craftsmen
4
0
The craftsmen of Jura make the richness and authenticity of the territory. Whether they are pipe makers, lapidaries, potters, horn or wood turners - like here Robert Marichy of the Arinthod turnery in the ‘Petite Montagne’ - they celebrate their know-how passed down from generation to generation. Their craftsmanship, which made the reputation of the Jura Mountains, was born from the length and harshness of the local winters and the need to find sources of income complementary to agriculture then practiced by all.
