The importance of grooming
0
0
Grooming designates the maintenance of a horse through various brushing and cleaning actions. Carried out in a specific order - curry comb, cork, soft brush, sponge, rag, mane and tail combs, hoof pick - and practiced daily, they are essential to tone the animal's muscles, keep its coat clean, keep it in shape, and detect any injuries. These treatments, which last at least half an hour, must take place before and after the work sessions. They are not only used to clean the horse but allow massaging all its skin and activating its blood circulation while familiarizing it with human contact.
