The Millau Viaduct consists of seven pillars from 252 to 803 ft (77 to 245 m), all surmounted by a 285 ft (87 m) pylon. Pillar n° 2 is actually the tallest in the world, and each one was built by a separate team. Upon their achievement in 2003, a copper tube was slipped in, containing the names of the 537 workers and a commemorative 0.5 euro coin. The tube is in the last concrete strata of the third pillar.
