Considered the embodiment of a benefactor ancestor to whom everyone owes respect and consideration, the Hienghène hen has become a symbol of generosity for the entire Caledonian population. Advancing like a protective figure in Hienghène Bay, it neighbours another rock formation in the shape of an Egyptian Sphinx which seems to play the role of an eternal guardian watching over her.
