The glass vessel, designed by architect Frank Gehry, stands on the edge of the Bois de Boulogne. In order to design this architectural challenge, Frank Gehry has 3D CAD software developed that allowed him to test and control all phases of the construction. The building was designed, at all levels, through the prism of ecology and sustainable development. Rainwater is collected, filtered, and used to clean the façades and glass roofs. The pool is also fed by it. The Louis Vuitton Foundation is enrolled in the architecture program at Harvard University.
