The fourth-largest municipality in the Var department behind Signes, Hyères, and Aiguines, Collobrières covers an area of 27,844 acres (11,268 ha) in the Massif des Maures. Its territory is crossed by several rivers, including the Réal Collobrier, Giscle, Verne, and Bargean. The population of almost 1,900 inhabitants massively concentrates in the village itself, located 524 ft (160 m) above sea level. It gives Collobrières a population density of 17.7 inhabitants per square kilometer.
