The panoramic 'route des crêtes' of the Verdon forms a 14.2 miles (23 km) loop starting from La Palud-sur-Verdon, upstream of the Grand Canyon. It is dotted with fourteen lookouts - the lookouts of Trescaire, Carelle, Escales, Dent d'Aire, Pas de la Baou, Tilleul, Gorge de Guegues, Glacières, Eycharme, Guegues, Maugué, l'Imbut, Armanet and Baou Béni with names evocative of both the Provençal and Alpine world of the site. All offer exceptional and breathtaking views of the canyon and the birds of prey which nestle in its walls.
