The final stages of ocher transformation

The Explorers
The last two stages in the transformation of ocher are grinding and conditioning. Different ochers are first mixed to obtain the desired colors before being sent to a pendulum mill that grinds them to a microscopic size of 50 µ. The ocher is later packed in paper bags 44 or 55 lbs (20 or 25 kg), but other packagings are possible.
