The "Fête de l'Estive"

During the Fête de l'Estive (Summer Pastures Celebration), the herds accompanied by summer visitors are taken up to L'Estive Bessarde, a panoramic site near Lake Pavin. The main objective of this event, created in 1992 by the municipality of Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise, is to bring together breeders, artisans, traders, residents, and tourists. Such festive context aims to promote the products of the terroir and the trades linked to breeding, agriculture, and crafts. Each first Sunday in August, L'Estive Bessarde becomes the site for non-stop entertainment.
