The Farman MF.7 two-blade propeller

The MF.7 Longhorn is a two-seater military reconnaissance biplane designed by Maurice Farman before the First World War. Located at the rear of the fuselage, its engine is a 70 hp Renault V8 forced air cooled, which allows it to fly at 95 km/h. Thanks to the power take-off of the two-blade propeller mounted on the camshaft, the rotation speed is divided by two. As early as 1913, French and British squadrons (Royal Naval Air Service and Royal Flying Corps) were equipped with Farman MF.7s. At the beginning of the war, orders poured in and Maurice Farman built more than 2,000 of them.
