The essential stone grain grinder
Inseparable from the history of humanity, whose food processes it has accompanied since the end of the Palaeolithic era, the stone grain grinder is still used in the traditional production of mustards at the Moutarderie Edmond Fallot in Beaune in the Côte-d'Or department. It allows the grinding, trituration, and crushing of the seeds that enter into the composition of the condiment. For the grinding of mustard seeds, the process is carried out wet. The lower positioned dormant wheel remains stationary while the moving upper wheel is in motion on its surface.
