The eastern coast of Porquerolles
0
0
The eastern coast of Porquerolles forms the greatest width, about 1.8 mi (3 km) long, of this east-west oriented island that is almost parallel to the Var coast in its length. From the coastal town of Hyères, which gives its name to the archipelago comprising Porquerolles, numerous parts of the island are visible. From right to left extend the detached rocks of Deux Frères, Cap des Mèdes and its swimming pool and battery, the cliffs of the Gros Mur du Nord, the Pointe du Gros Bau, the Galéasson small fort, the Calanque du Bon Dieu, the Pointe de la Galère, and the detached rock of Gros Sarranier.
