In 2001, Dorchester Collection purchased the Plaza Athénée Hotel on behalf of the Brunei Investment Agency, which reports directly to the Brunei Ministry of Finance. The company owns and manages nine luxury 5-star hotels around the world. The Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, the Bel-Air Hotel in Los Angeles, the Le Meurice Hotel and Plaza Athénée Hotel in Paris, the Principe di Savoia Hotel in Milan, the Dorchester and 45 Park Lane in London, the Coworth Park in Ascot and the Eden Hotel in Rome.
