Partially hidden by small clouds, Pic de Morgon dominates Serre-Ponçon Lake from the top of its 7,624 ft (2,324 m). With its cirque and its ridges, the mountain defines the dividing line between the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Hautes-Alpes departments in southeastern France. From its summit, Pic de Morgon offers a panoramic view of the Écrins, Queyras, and Ubaye.
