The Déroc waterfall in the Lozère department
0
0
In the Lozère department, the Déroc waterfall is a highly sought-after location for tourists and local visitors. The cascade is a result of the merger between the waters of the river Bès and those of the outlet of the Salhiens lake. Frozen in the winter, it makes for an impressive landscape from afar and from up close. For instance, one can discover the hidden cave with a basalt columns ceiling at the bottom of the waterfall. During the winter season, it is covered in stalactites which only highlight the geometrical aspect of the ceiling.
