The cross-country skier’s stand
0
0
On a gentle and groomed slope, the cross-country skier can easily glide along, keeping their skis parallel, without pushing on the poles, their body almost straight, knees and ankles relaxed and slightly bent. When necessary, the snowplough position helps controlling the speed and braking: the skis are spread out in an A, with the tips close together, adjusting the angle to the speed as needed.
