The cradle of Norman gastronomy

Saint Theresa of the Child Jesus Basilica stands on a small hill above Lisieux and has made the reputation of the city located in the heart of the Pays d'Auge, in the Calvados department. The region forms an area made up of bocages bordered by protective hedges and fruit trees that give it its signature aspect. Norman gastronomy is highly represented in the region since it is the cradle of famous cheeses (Camembert, Livarot, and Pont l'Évêque), cider, and Calvados, a liqueur made from apples.
