The Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park is located in the west of the Marne department. Opened in 1976, it is the second regional nature park created in the Champagne-Ardenne region, after the Forêt d’Orient Park. It should be noted that Champagne does not only produce champagne. Coteaux-Champenois AOC wines are produced throughout the Champagne area. These are still, non-sparkling wines, produced in small quantities. The red wines (Bouzy, Ambonnay, or Aÿ) are the better known, but there are also white and rosé Coteaux-Champenois.
