The continuity of a raset

During a Camargue race, a raset takes place in four stages. The tourneur draws the bull's attention to position it the right way round so the raseteur can step forward and perform his raset. When the cocardier bull and the raseteur cross, the latter holds out his hook and tries to remove an attribute. If necessary, the raseteur jumps over the barrier and hangs on the wall of the arena. It is common to hear the air of Carmen, taken from Bizet's opera, during an act of bravery from either the raseteur or the bull.
