In Collobrières, a large yellow building (background) houses the Confiserie Azuréenne, one of the main companies in the village. For more than half a century, the master craftsmen of the largest manufacturing unit in the region have perpetuated the local tradition and ancestral know-how developed around the chestnut. The factory produces a wide range of products derived from chestnuts, such as candies, creams, ice creams, pastes, purees, or flours. The Confiserie Azuréenne harvests its own chestnuts on the 2,224 acres (900 ha) of chestnut plantations in Collobrières.
