The clock of the tourist office

0
The clock of Hautvillers' tourist office keeps track of time with its three small bells, saved from a fire in 1850. The bell tower's arrow, covered with dark slate, has the typical shape of the region. The municipality of Hautvillers extends among the vineyards and holds Saint-Syndulphus Church. Between 1668 and 1715, it welcomed the famous Dom Pérignon. He is said to have invented the méthode champenoise (Champagne method) that allowed the wine to become effervescent.
