The Climats of Bourgogne

The weather in the Burgundy vineyard is unique. Both continental (Côte de Nuits) and Mediterranean (Mâconnais), its influences bring an inimitable identity. The Côte de Nuits enjoy hot summers and dry autumns specific to continental influence. Connoisseurs call this strip of 12 miles (20 km) long and sometimes 218 to 328 ft (200 to 300 m) wide the “Champs-Élysées of Burgundy. The “Climats” of Burgundy (mainly Côtes de Beaune and Côte de Nuits) have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015.
