The cliffs of Moirans-en-Montagne

Located 2.4 miles (4 km) from Lake Vouglans at an altitude varying between 1,387 and 3,218 feet (423 to 981 meters), the commune of Moirans-en-Montagne has a via ferrata on a cliff of the Regardoir belvedere to the north of its territory. Facing west on a balcony overlooking Lake Vouglans, this crossing via ferrata was equipped in 2012. It is the second course of this type in Haut-Jura, after the older one of La Roche au Dade in Morez. Free of charge, it is open from June 15 to November 15 by prefectural biotope protection decree.
