The chapter house of Saint-Marie of Frontfoide has nine ribbed vaults. It accommodates the abbot as well as the principal officers of the abbey and its monks. It is a room of great importance within the edifice. The Chapter, that is to say the community of monks, meets in the chapter house after the First Hour. This event takes place at the start of the day, in the heart of the abbey, whose stones still stand today as witnesses of history.
