The chapels of the basilica Notre-Dame in Dole
0
0
The space around the apse of the basilica Notre-Dame in Dole in the Jura department is occupied by chapels built following the transformation of the southern chapel into a Holy-Chapel. The south chapel, next to the choir, has in fact been transformed to house one of the two Hosts of the Eucharistic miracle of Faverney, which took place on the night of May 25 to 26, 1608 in a Benedictine abbey near Vesoul in Haute-Saône. It thus first became the 'Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament of Miracle' before taking the name of Holy-Chapel.
