The Center for Cluniac Studies

In the early 1980s, Cluny Abbey in the Saône-et-Loire department gave birth to the Centre d'Études Clunisiennes (Center for Cluniac Studies), an association dedicated to the study of the cultural heritage of Cluny and its region. The Center - which has more than a hundred members - spreads the knowledge progress of the cultural heritage of the world-famous abbey. It is also interested in lesser-known ensembles such as the two hundred or so Romanesque houses of Cluny or the dozens of Romanesque churches in the surrounding area.
